L.J. Institute of Management Studies (LJIMS), Ahmedabad was established in the year 2001 under the aegis of Lok Jagruti Kendra Trust to conduct a two- year full-time MBA programme. LJIMS strives to create professionals who will lead the economy to a better tomorrow by path of ethics and vision. The Institute till last year was a postgraduate center of Gujarat University however from year 2010, as ordered by Govt of Gujarat, is associated with Gujarat Technological University and the programme is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).LJIMS was affiliated to Gujarat University from 2001 to 2010. However from 2010 onwards Institute, as per order from Govt. of Gujarat, is associated with Gujarat Technological University. LJIMS acts as a postgraduate center of Gujarat Technological University and follows the schedules of the university for academic and operational purposes. Since its inception LJIMS has been granted affiliation for MBA in all the three areas viz. Finance, Marketing and Human Resources. LJIMS has been granted affiliation for MCA from 2007-08. The institute's MBA and MCA programmes have been approved by the All India council of Technical Education, New Delhi.<o:p> </o:p>
